By Train
The fastest option to reach the Research Center is the Napoli Metro Line 2, operated by Trenitalia.
Connections between Naples’ main stations and the nearby Portici-Ercolano station are very efficient: trains run approximately every 30 minutes throughout the day, and the trip takes an average of 12 to 25 minutes (depending on the departure station). By Car
A3 Napoli-Salerno Highway. Take the Portici-Bellavista exit (coming from Naples) or the Ercolano exit (coming from Salerno). Take a note: during the summer months, the Portici Granatello area is subject to a Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL); access is regulated by barriers at the entrance and exit, and a ticket must be paid to allow vehicles to park within the area.
Other transportation options
You can also reach Portici by using the Circumvesuviana (EAV – Ente Autonomo Volturno) trains. The main and closer stops are Portici Bellavista (29-minute walk from the CR ENEA) and Portici Via Libertà (23-minute walk from the CR ENEA)
